
The Magnolia Council serves as the steward of Althea's mission, values, and future growth. Comprised of nine accomplished women leaders—including the Founder, five physician members, and three distinguished non-clinical professionals—the Council provides strategic guidance, wisdom, and accountability to ensure that Althea remains true to its founding principles while thoughtfully evolving to meet the needs of its members.
The Council exists not to govern, but to guide. Its role is to help shape the vision, influence the direction, and preserve the spirit of Althea as a trusted community where women physicians can connect authentically, grow intentionally, and thrive personally and professionally.

Council members are expected to actively participate in quarterly meetings, contribute thoughtful guidance, serve as champions of the Althea mission, and model the values that define the organization. Members are selected not only for their accomplishments, but for their character, wisdom, generosity, and dedication to supporting other women.
Above all, The Magnolia Council exists to ensure that Althea remains a place where women physicians can return to themselves—a community rooted in trust, strengthened by authenticity, and guided by the belief that when women thrive, their impact extends far beyond themselves. The Council's responsibility is to safeguard that vision for generations to come.
